Description
The WIKA Model 80 pipeline tester is a dead-weight instrument for measuring arbitrary and fluctuating pressures accurately, for example during pipeline hydrostatic tests or in power plants. It loads a stepped piston with masses and balances it with a small pressure read on a precision dial gauge, so the line pressure is the mass load plus a small gauge correction.
The Model 80 covers 30–300 bar with 0.03% + 0.05 bar accuracy, and the Model 80L 7–60 bar with 0.04% + 0.015 bar. It works with oil, water or air and comes in a portable case.
