Description
The Mercoid ULT is an explosion-proof ultrasonic level transmitter for liquids, approved by FM for Class I Div 1 hazardous locations. It measures up to 7.5 m (ULT-11) or 10 m (ULT-21) with ±0.2% of range accuracy and 2 mm resolution, and its mapping software limits the measuring zone to a 76 mm column so ladders, pipes and other tank intrusions do not disturb the reading.
It is a two-wire 4–20 mA device powered from an 18–28 V DC loop, with a 6-digit LCD, simple four-button set-up and a selectable failsafe output on loss of echo. It mounts in a 2 in NPT port and has a PVDF sensor and an IP66 housing.
