Description
The MTL 949X are isolated intrinsically safe power supplies that take a 24 V DC supply in the safe area or Zone 2 and deliver an Ex ia or Ex ib output to power equipment in Zone 0 or Zone 1. The 9491-PS and 9492-PS-PLUS give a nominal 12 V output (up to 550 mA Ex ib IIB) for MTL intrinsically safe Ethernet modules, while the 9493-PS range offers Ex ia outputs from 4.8 V to 17.7 V for gas groups IIB or IIC.
Each module has current limiting with an auto-reset electronic breaker, LED status indication and 253 V input-to-output isolation. Modules mount on DIN rail or a backplane and can be ganged for multiple outputs, with ATEX and IECEx certification.
