Description
Rosemount 114C thermowells are machined from solid barstock to protect temperature sensors from flow-induced stress, high pressure and corrosive process fluids, while allowing the sensor to be removed without shutting down the process. They are available threaded, flanged, Van Stone, socket-weld or weld-in, with straight, tapered or stepped stems and immersion lengths from 25 mm to over 1 m.
Standard materials are 316/316L and 304/304L stainless steel and carbon steel, with duplex, nickel alloys and coatings for corrosive service. Designs follow ASME PTC 19.3 TW, and options include wake-frequency calculation, NACE certification, PMI, 3.1 material certificates and hydrostatic testing.
