Description
The Rosemount 8600 is a utility vortex flow meter for clean liquids, gases and steam in line sizes from 1 to 8 in, with ±0.75% of rate accuracy on liquids, ±1% on gas and steam, ±0.2% repeatability and 30:1 turndown. It has no moving parts, needs no impulse lines or zeroing, and resists pipe vibration, with built-in verification of sensor and electronics.
The MTA option places a thermocouple inside the shedder bar to provide temperature-compensated mass flow (±2.5%). The meter handles −50 to +250 °C, mounts between Class 150/300 or PN16–63 flanges, and gives 4–20 mA HART plus an optional pulse output from a 10.8–42 V DC loop.
